A function maps one set of numbers, called a domain, to another set of numbers, called a range. For each input in the domain, there is one output in the range.Example 1: My savings account earns 10% a year. The range is my money at the end of the year. The domain is my money at the beginning. y = 1.1xExample 2: An apple costs $2. The range is how much a number of apples cost. The domain is the number of apples. y = 2x
